Niles Steel Tank offers Indirect Water heaters for use in various applications. All types utilize an internal heat exchange coil through which hot water from a boiler or other source flows. Heat is transferred from the coil into the surrounding water in the storage tank portion of the water heater.

STANDARD TRIM

 

INDIRECT DOUBLE WALL:

  • Factory installed waterway fittings - for longer water heater life. Easier installation.
  • Fully automated controls - Fast acting surface-mount thermostat for automatic temperature control. Factory installed sensitive manual reset energy cut-off for safety to prevent overheating.
  • Ultonium™ Lining - NST tanks are protected from corrosive effects of hot water by an exclusive ceramic porcelain-like coating. The NST high silica Ultonium™ lining provides a tough interior surface for our hot water tanks.
  • Protective magnesium anode rod - provides added protection against corrosion for long trouble-free service.
  • Factory installed turbomix fill pipe - cold inlet sediment reducing device. Helps to minimize sediment build up in the tank. Increases first hour delivery of hot water while minimizing temperature build up at top of tank.
  • Stand-by heat loss - less than 1/2°F per hour.
  • Heat exchanger - dielectrically isolated, double wall type consisting of a highly conductive material with a, NSF approved cross linked polyethylene (PEX) coating. Also, incorporates two monofilament channels between the walls for leak detection purposes. Leak detection hole is located at top of unit on both heat exchanger connections.
  • Brass drain valve.
  • T&P relief valve included - all models feature top connection.
  • Ten year limited warranty on steel tank and heat exchanger - heavy gauge steel automatically formed, rolled and welded to assure a continuous seam for glass lining.
  • 2" Non-CFC foam insulation - covers the sides and top of tank to save energy by retarding loss of heat. Also increases jacket rigidity.
  • Six year limited warranty on parts.

INDIRECT SINGLE WALL:

  • Factory installed waterway fittings - for longer water heater life. Easier installation.

  • Fully automated controls - immersed Honeywell aquastat.

  • Ultonium™ Lining - NST tanks are protected from corrosive effects of hot water by an exclusive ceramic porcelain-like coating. The NST high silica Ultonium™ lining provides a tough interior surface for our hot water tanks.

  • Three protective anode rods - provides added protection against corrosion for long trouble-free service.

  • Factory installed turbomix fill pipe - cold inlet sediment reducing device. Helps to minimize sediment build up in the tank. Increases first hour delivery of hot water while minimizing temperature build up at top of tank.

  • Heat exchanger - single-wall 11/2" glass-coated steel (Ultonium™).

  • Supply and return connections - the 1" npt female connections are located on the front for both the boiler supply and boiler return.

  • Stand-by heat loss - less than 1/2°F per hour.

  • Brass drain valve.

  • T&P relief valve included - all models feature opening on side of tank.

  • Ten year limited warranty on steel tank and heat exchanger - heavy gauge steel automatically formed, rolled and welded to assure a continuous seam for glass lining.

  • 2" Non-CFC foam insulation - covers the sides and top of tank to save energy by retarding loss of heat. Also increases jacket rigidity.

  • Six year limited warranty on parts.
