Freeze Protection  

Consider this option whenever direct connecting outside air on fan assisted units.

Cupronickel Heat Exchanger  

Consider this option in all domestic hot water and pool applications.  Cupronickel will allow you to use a higher flow rate when the water quality is poor or make up water is abundant.

Factory Mounted/Wired Pump

The factory will mount the pump and wire it to the boiler panel working with pump delay and boiler sequence.  The pump is then removed leaving the whip and flange mounted.

Inlet / Outlet Hoods

If venting through the wall, the factory can supply the hoods to match the vent size.  Hoods for inlet are galvanized and hoods for the vent termination are stainless steel.

Gas Pressure Switches

Boilers in this size range rarely if ever 'require' low or high gas pressure switches.  They are available as an option (check special code requirements as they may be included in that package)

Control Relays  

RBI can supply control relays for enable/disable, staging, alarm, or status.  Relays must be specified with the use and voltage of the coil.

Dry Contacts  

RBI can supply dry contacts to be used for external CAD (combustion air damper), alarm, or status.  Contacts must be specified with the use.

Stainless Steel Jackets  

Not all manufacturers can provide this option so it should only be specified with equals capable of manufacturing these jackets.  The stainless is polished, durable, and very attractive. 

Outdoor Construction  

RBI can supply the unit to be designed for outdoor use.  This includes stainless jackets and control enclosures.  It also includes the standard vent termination.

Remote/Local Switch  

RBI can supply a switch to bypass building automation in the case of a problem or local service on the unit.

Barometric Dampers  

These are no longer a standard item with boilers.  Atmospheric boilers have built in hoods and they should not be required, however, when venting over 25' vertical, a barometric damper should be specified.

Sidewall Power Venter  

RBI can supply a package that includes the properly size power vent fan and termination hoods.  This is used when the horizontal run exceeds the units limitations or you attempt to combine a category I appliance in a category III breeching.  Note that RME also represents Exhausto which has a total solution for any venting challange.

Racking Kits  

RBI can supply a heavy duty racking kit to be used with the LCD or Dominator series units.  This rack is NOT staggered and the design of the boiler allows the venting to be run from the back or top.  This means major repairs can be completed without taking the boilers off the rack.

CSD-1 Compliance  

Units are available as CSD-1 compliant equipment.  If you have specified a freeze protection package, you are already getting CSD-1.  Ohio is not currently a CSD-1 state (not required).

FM Compliance  

Nearly all RBI boilers and water heaters are designed to meet the configuration requirements of FM.  Only the 8800 series units need to add for this option.

IRI  

Because of the expense of IRI code requirements, all IRI projects should be reviewed with a sales consultant.
